Route 23 Guide
Route 23 is the badge-gate climb toward Victory Road, where every earned badge turns into one more opened door.
Travel the road
Route 23 is not a normal route. It is a ceremonial approach to the League, with guards checking badges one by one as you move north from the Viridian side toward Victory Road 1F.
What to find
Bring all eight badges, then walk the checkpoints in order. Search the route for hidden Full Restore, Max Ether, and Ultra Ball, fish the water if you are collecting, and use the grass as a last wild stop before the cave.
Return with a reason
Return only when the team is ready or when you want the route’s hidden items and encounters. Route 23 is meant to feel like proof that the whole Kanto journey is now behind you.
