Underground Switch Puzzle
Open the Rocket basement route with the right switch order, reset option, and cleanup plan.
- Fast route
- Turn on Switch 3, then Switch 2, then Switch 1.
- Emergency switch
- Turns all three regular switches on or off at once.
Start the basement rescue
Bring the Basement Key from the Radio Tower, heal first, and expect a rival battle near the entrance.
The switch room is part of the Director rescue path, not a normal Goldenrod shortcut.
Enter once you are ready for Rocket fights and a rival check.
Fast route
Turn on Switch 3, then Switch 2, then Switch 1.
That order opens the clean route through the shutter doors from the starting side.
Use the emergency switch first if you need to reset the room.
Emergency switch
Turns all three regular switches on or off at once.
Use it to reset a messy door pattern without walking back through every switch.
Treat it as a reset, then follow the switch order again.
Sweep the room
Rocket fights and item balls sit behind the changing doors.
The puzzle path is also a reward sweep, so check the side pockets before leaving.
Use the map markers to clean up missed items after the route opens.
