Burned Tower is the old ruin that turns Ecruteak's legends into active story, complete with a rival fight and the beast awakening.
Step inside
Burned Tower makes Ecruteak City feel haunted by history instead of merely decorated by it. The floor holes, smashable rocks, old visitors, and broken tower mood all point downward toward something sleeping below.
What to do inside
Face your rival here, battle Firebreather Ned and Firebreather Dick, pick up Burn Heal and X Speed, and search for the hidden Ether. The wild Pokémon include Rattata, Raticate, Zubat, and Koffing, and falling through the floor brings you toward the legendary beasts below.
Return with a reason
Return for roaming-beast memories, missed items, Rock Smash cleanup, or the simple thrill of stepping back into one of Johto's most important ruined places.
