Route 41 Guide
Route 41 is the full open-water run around the Whirl Islands, turning the west coast into a maze of swimmers, currents, and legendary side paths.
Travel the route
Route 41 is Johto at sea for real: open water, swimmer clusters, four Whirl Island entrances, and Cianwood City waiting beyond the spray. It is not hard to cross, but it is easy to wander.
What to find
Fight the long swimmer crowd, including Charlie, George, Berke, Kirk, Mathew, Kaylee, Susie, Denise, Kara, and Wendy. Search the water for the hidden Max Ether, use Whirlpool when the islands are ready, and fish or surf for Tentacool, Tentacruel, Mantine, Chinchou, Shellder, Lanturn, and more.
Return with a reason
Return when Whirlpool opens island exploration, when Lugia becomes the destination, or when you want Johto's broadest water route to feel like an expedition instead of a commute.
