Route 17 Guide
Route 17 is Cycling Road’s long downhill run, full of bikers, hidden prizes, grass, and the feeling of Kanto finally opening its map.
Travel the road
Route 17 is not a quiet bicycle path. It is a long slope lined with Bikers and Cue Balls, with grass and hidden items tempting you to stop even as the road tries to pull you downward.
What to find
Clear the trainers if you want strong midgame experience, and search carefully for hidden Full Restore, Max Revive, PP Up, and Rare Candy. The grass is a good place to look for road Pokémon such as Doduo and stronger bird encounters.
Return with a reason
Return after the first downhill rush to sweep hidden items at your own pace. Cycling Road is easy to treat as a shortcut, but it hides enough rewards to deserve a second pass.
