Route 8 Guide
Route 8 is Lavender’s busy western road, packed with trainers and grass before the underground path carries you toward Celadon.
Travel the road
Route 8 is the loud stretch outside quiet Lavender Town. The gate to Saffron blocks the direct center path, so trainers line the road toward the underground tunnel and the workaround to Celadon.
What to find
Expect a dense battle run: Lasses, Gamblers, and Super Nerds make this a useful experience road before Celadon’s Gym and Rocket hideout. The grass can help with version-specific hunting, and the route’s shape lets you decide whether to clear everyone now or save some fights for later.
Return with a reason
Return when you want leftover trainer experience, a Lavender-to-Celadon connection, or the satisfaction of finally walking through the Saffron gate that used to turn you away.
