Route 21 is the surf road between Pallet and Cinnabar, mixing open water, trainer battles, fishing, and a strip of hometown grass.
Travel the road
Route 21 makes Pallet Town feel new. The quiet shore south of home becomes a full sea road to Cinnabar Island, with swimmers and fishermen marking the way.
What to find
Surf south for trainer battles and ocean encounters, or work the grass near Pallet for late-route catches such as Tangela. The water is full of fishing potential, and the route gives you a gentler Cinnabar approach than threading Seafoam first.
Return with a reason
Return whenever you want a direct Pallet-to-Cinnabar line, a hometown fishing session, or a reminder that the map’s beginning and late game share the same shoreline.
