Cinnabar is small, strange, and important. The Pokémon Lab hums beside the Center and Mart, Blaine’s Gym is locked, and Pokemon Mansion 1F stands as the ruined answer to the island’s questions.
Revive fossils and Old Amber at Cinnabar Lab if you brought them, then enter the Mansion for the Secret Key. The Gym opens after that. Blaine’s quiz doors let you avoid some battles if you answer correctly, but his Fire-type team still waits at the end with the Volcano Badge and TM38.
Return by sea from Pallet Town through Route 21, from Route 20 after Seafoam, or anytime you want fossil revivals, late-game shopping, and one last island pause before Viridian’s final Gym.
