Cinnabar Island Guide
Cinnabar Island is a stripped-down postgame stop, with the ruined island, the Seafoam Gym move, and the surf roads that now do most of the work.
Arrive and look around
Cinnabar is almost a ghost of a city now. The old island is ruined, the Pokémon Center stands like a survivor, Blue waits with his own thoughts, and the sign points you toward Seafoam if you are looking for Blaine.
What to do here
Use Cinnabar as the hinge between Route 20 and Route 21. Search for the hidden Rare Candy, talk to Blue, heal before the water routes, and go to the Seafoam Gym when Blaine is next on your badge list.
Return with a reason
Return when you are finishing Blaine's side of Kanto, linking Pallet and Fuchsia by sea, or using the quiet island as a reset point before another long surf.
