Azalea Town Guide

Azalea Town is the slow, wooded midpoint between the first two Gyms, with [Slowpoke Well B1F]({location:slowpoke-well-b1f}), [Ilex Forest]({location:ilex-forest}), and Kurt's workshop all tied into the story.

Arrive and look around

Azalea looks sleepy until you notice what is missing. The Slowpoke are gone, a Rocket blocks the well, the road into Ilex Forest is not ready, and Kurt's house feels like the one place in town where someone is angry enough to move.

What to do here

Follow Kurt to Slowpoke Well B1F, clear the Rockets, then come back for Bugsy's Gym and the rival battle near the forest exit. Pick the Wht Apricorn by Kurt's house, check the Charcoal Kiln, and remember that the Cut tree in Ilex is the next problem after the Gym.

Return with a reason

Return when you want Kurt to make Apricorn balls, when the forest path needs a quick rest stop, or when the cave-and-well side of southern Johto pulls you back through town.

These ledges let you jump down but not climb back up from the same spot.

Look before you hop if you are collecting items or avoiding trainers.
