Ecruteak City Guide
Ecruteak City is the old-story crossroads of Johto, tying together the Burned Tower, Tin Tower, the Dance Theater, and the western routes toward Olivine and Mahogany.
Arrive and look around
Ecruteak feels older than the road that brought you there. The Burned Tower stands open, Tin Tower waits behind its old boundary, the Dance Theater glows with Kimono Girls, and the exits point west to Route 38, east to Route 42, and south through Route 37.
What to do here
Visit Burned Tower 1F for the rival battle and the legendary beast awakening, then step into the Dance Theater for five Eevee-family battles and HM03. Morty's Gym gives the city its badge test, while the hidden Hyper Potion and the Itemfinder house reward a careful walk around town.
Return with a reason
Return when the legendary story opens Tin Tower 1F, when Surf changes how you approach the surrounding routes, or whenever the western half of Johto needs one atmospheric home base.
