Violet City Guide
Violet City is Johto's first badge town, with the academy, the Gym, and [Sprout Tower 1F]({location:sprout-tower-1f}) all within a short walk.
Arrive and look around
Violet is the first city that asks you to choose your own order. The Pokémon Center, Mart, Earl's Pokémon Academy, Falkner's Gym, the Sprout Tower 1F entrance, and the roads to Route 31, Route 32, and Route 36 are all close enough to sweep in one thoughtful loop.
What to do here
Climb Sprout Tower for training and HM05, challenge Falkner for the Zephyr Badge, and search the city edges for the hidden Hyper Potion, PP Up, Rare Candy, and the Przcureberry tree. Violet's water can be fished later, and the path toward Dark Cave Violet Entrance makes the city feel bigger than its first-badge role.
Return with a reason
Return when you want the first badge, Sprout Tower's nighttime Gastly, academy reminders, or a steady hub before the long south road to Union Cave 1F.
