Pewter City Guide
Pewter City is Kanto’s stone-built first badge town, with Brock’s Gym, the museum, and the east road toward Mt. Moon all gathered under one quiet ridge.
Arrive and look around
Pewter feels solid after the twisty green maze of Viridian Forest. The Gym waits near the center of town, the museum stands above it, and Route 3 leaves east toward Mt. Moon 1F. Take a lap before you rush Brock; the city has more personality than its small streets suggest.
What to do here
Brock is the reason you came. Beat his Rock-type team for the Boulder Badge and TM34, then step into the museum if you want Kanto’s old fossil story before the cave makes fossils real. The Mart is your last easy stock-up before Route 3’s trainer line and Mt. Moon’s long interior.
Come back with a reason
Return when Cut opens the side entrance to the museum and lets you claim the Old Amber. Pewter also stays useful as the northern rest stop between Viridian Forest, Mt. Moon, and the early badge road.
