Route 4 Guide

Route 4 is Mt. Moon’s eastern landing, with a one-way drop toward Cerulean, grass, water, and a few prizes tucked near the cliffs.

Travel the road

Route 4 has two moods. The western side is the approach to Mt. Moon’s entrance, while the eastern side is where the cave spits you out near Cerulean City. Once you jump the ledge toward Cerulean, walking back is not simple until later.

What to find

Pick up TM04 and search for the hidden Great Ball. The grass makes a useful post-cave catching stop, and the water becomes more interesting once rods and Surf turn the cliffside route into something more than an exit ramp.

Return with a reason

Return later with better movement if you want to clean up the west side, fish the water, or revisit Mt. Moon from a stronger position.
